Praseodymium oxide, with the chemical formula Pr6O11 or Pr2O3, is a black powder substance. It has a density of approximately 6.88 g/cm3 to 7.07 g/cm3 and a high melting point, ranging from 2042°C to 2300°C. Insoluble in water but soluble in mineral acids, it exhibits excellent electrical conductivity, especially at 600°C. Praseodymium oxide is widely used in ceramic glazes, yellow pigments, and rare earth permanent magnet alloys.
