Tartaric Acid is colorless semi transparent crystal or white fine to coarse powder, with a sour taste and no odor, stable in air.Due to the presence of two asymmetric carbon atoms in the molecular structure, it can be classified as intramolecular (D-tartaric acid) and racemic form (DL tartaric acid).
